A little about our chef:
Mark has always had a passion for creating fantastic dishes, from peeling spuds for his mum from the age of five to starting up in the industry assisting chefs from the age of thirteen to then studying & working his way up the ranks & in hotels and restaurants such as "The Savoy", "Dans of Chelsea" and more locally, "The Brighton Hilton". Mark joined the merchant navy serving on-board an Antarctic research vessel as well as serving two years on the Antarctic base where imagination was needed to create interesting wholesome meals with limited resources.
Mark is a very social chef & enjoys speaking to customers about food & taking all input & using it to further his dishes, he describes his food as “stylish without pretence” & he strives to produce traditional English dishes with a contemporary twist.
Mark describes The Bell as a genuinely friendly, relaxed hidden pub which compliments his style of food perfectly.
